Steam heaters

LAYGO® GASKETS

Steam generation as a source of energy takes place through the use of plate heat exchangers and so-called steam heaters.

Water, as we know, can be in solid, liquid or gaseous form. If we add thermal energy to the water, its temperature increases to the point of becoming steam. The evaporation of water requires large amounts of energy and as this occurs, both the water and the steam produced are always kept at the same temperature.

If what we want is to make steam becomes a source of energy, there are a number of heat exchangers specially designed to heat water using industrial steam.

Its main features are the unique design and strength of the stainless steel plates, as well as its plate heat exchanger gaskets that can withstand temperatures of up to 180°C.

Many industries use steam heaters in their manufacturing processes. Among them stand out the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
